Drill bits restoration

 

Today requirements to PDC drill bits can be formulated in the following way:

 

Providence of hole section drilling only by free fall with maximum possible penetration speed and minimal risk of free fall interruption because of PDC drill bit failure.

 

To achieve these aims the enterprise developed and realized the conception of using drill bits with rated useful life, which is applied for providence of drilling-bit and boring head technology.

 

Besides the enterprise provides repair and restoration of PDC drill bits produced both by Russian and foreign companies. In each case the selection of equipment depends on the working conditions of the instrument.

 

Not only equipment elements can be restored but also threaded connections and elements of body reinforcement. We have enough working experience to restore PDC drill bits with steel and matrix body. 

 

Drilling –bit technology

 

Drilling-bit technology is the service aimed to effective rock destruction tools run that corresponds with the client’s requirements to drilling parameters (High penetration speed, high rate of penetration, minimal cost of one meter of penetration).

 

These services includes the selection of available drill bits or development of new constructions of the instrument for concrete geological, technical and technological conditions and drill bit run in the well under the control of industrial engineers. Constant connection with our clients allows improving our production and raising the level of provided services.  

 

HDM (hydraulic downhole motor) service

 

We propose to our clients to drill wells by using their own or rented hydraulic downhole motors. This service allows to tryout rock destruction instrument with high engineering-and-economical performance. This achieved by optimization of drilling modes and introduction of new technologies in the selection of BHA (bottom-hole assembly)  

 

Core selection

 

Core selection services are provided with the use of Russian and foreign coring devices with boring heads of our production. Depending on the client’s desire the method of core selection can be: non-isolated, isolated, sealed and oriented. The diameter of selected core is 101,6; 100; 80; 67; 52 mm. The core selection can be made in vertical, directional and horizontal wells. The average core recovery is 90–95%.

 

Sidetracking

 

Sidetracking – is one of the most efficient technologies, which allows raising the level of oil extraction at old oilfields. Preparation for sidetracking from boring casing is executed by cutting of the «window» by set of instruments kind of KOT. The set KOT can be installed directly and undirectly, with the rest upon bottomhole and without it. Cutting of the «window» can be finished by one or two RIH (run in hole) operations. If the branching from uncased borehole is required, it is possible to use special side-tracking bits, produced by NPP «Burservice», both from whipstock and cement bridging.

 

Our specialists have successfully executed sidetracking works through dual-casing strings at the depth of 4000m and also in problem areas with high temperatures and flows at the well. OJSC «NPP Burservice» maintenance department makes preparation of the well for liner jobs, trip - in and its scraping.

 

Technological support during hole making using telemetering systems

 

Burservice specialists provide this service using telemetering systems:

  - with electromagnetic channel of communication with the diameter of 172 mm (Russian and foreign production);
